What is ASTRA?
ASTRA is a service organization sponsored by Altrusa at the University of Florida. Each of the letters stands for a different quality that is important to our club: Ability, Service, Training, Responsibility, and Achievement. ASTRA helps students find a way to get involved in the Gainesville community through service projects like March of Dimes, the Ronald McDonald House, Kids Count, Project Makeover, and Jungle Friends. At the end of each semester, ASTRA and Altursa award scholarships to outstanding ASTRA members. We always need volunteers, and love seeing new faces, so come join us!
